NEW WORK!        
​                                         "Joy"

This piece sprang from a creative moment as I decided what image to place on the postcard I was designing for the studio tour. As I tried out different images, not quite satisfied, I walked out my front door where these JOY blocks had been sitting on the window sill. That's it! I'll make something around those. I'd already been collecting a small pile of blue related objects, including lovely Macaw feathers and the faded felt cloth from inside of a vintage violin case. A scrap piece of old travel trunk with patterned blue paper, old buttons, and a beautiful textured tray form the finished work.
