Bottle with Feathers

Reclaimed Wood 

This series sprang from an unexpected find I discovered while walking in the back country of Northern California, a scrap pile of old wood!  The weathered siding is so beautiful and full of character.  It comes from an ancient house that was torn down at Wilbur Hot Springs.  The silvery textiles are vintage scraps of Indian wedding saris.  Each piece includes unique natural objects and treasures, like horse shoes, old bottles, seed pods, coins and buttons.

The sizes are about 7” wide x 10”-12” tall.

Made in 2010 and 2011.
